So much progress!

We visited the site today and holy jeez have they made some progress! Everyone told us the framing would go fast, but given our previous experience we expected to see maybe the first floor to be framed, but definitely nothing more. We were super excited to be wrong! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Master bedroom and future awesome bathtub!

Framing Begins!

Our weekly visit proved to be pretty exciting! The basement has been framed or at least mostly framed. Here are the pictures:
Front porch (silver area), Crane (right corner), and the top of the basement framing (rear)

Front Porch (silver area), Garage (left rear), Extra wood
The exterior of the basement, door is on the far side of the plywood wall

Left side of Rec Room and Door to backyard (left rear)

Left side of rec room and stairway/closet area (right side)
Stairway/Closet area (left) & entry into media room (back)
Looking through doorway into media room
Utility/storage room area
Bar area in the Rec Room (Front where pipe is in ground) & utility room (rear with pipe in wall)

Google+ is so cool it stitched together a panorama of the basement as viewed from the door to the backyard. From left to right you see, the Rec Room (where the camera is standing), the stairway area, the media room isn't really visible because it's behind the stairs, the utility room in the back corner (center of picture), the bar area where the pipe is sticking up out of the ground, and back in the Rec room. That description probably didn't help since it just looks like a bunch of wood laying around in this picture, but I tried.
Stitched Panorama taken from back door

We are pretty excited about the visible progress and hope that everything will be smooth (and fast) sailing from here. Our only concern this week was that our neighbors might be pretty upset (we would be) about the giant mess the builders have left on our lot and that they have allowed to spill out into the road. You may not be able to tell from this picture, but one full lane is taken up by the wood and it doesn't help that it was apparently just too much effort to stack that wood in an orderly fashion before taking off for the weekend. Here's some pictures of the mess that can't be making us any friends!

The wood spilling into the street, our lot begins about where the dumpster is sitting.

All in all it's exciting and we can't wait to see what gets accomplished this week!

Slabberific!

Our weekly visit on Friday revealed a shiny new slab in the basement and for the garage. Unfortunately, our PM overpromised again and told us we would have framing as well, which didn't happen. We're slowly learning to expect less than the PM expects to accomplish each week in order to avoid disappointment. Hopefully, framing began today (Monday), but it was pretty overcast with a light drizzle all day, so we aren't holding out much hope that any work got done. Hopefully, we will have a framed house by this weekend!

In the meantime, here are the most recent pictures.

Until next week, keep your fingers crossed that we get an offer on our current home and enjoy this crazy little guy.
